Vintage Tall Ribbed Clear Glass Syrup Pitcher with Black Handle

It's possible this is for something other than syrup but that sliding lid on the top says "syrup" to me.

Measures 10" in height x 5-1/2" in width (including handle) x 4" the other way.

In excellent condition.
