Antique Bright Plum and Gold Reverse Painted Eglomise Lamp with Gilt Design No Shade

Made in America circa 1940 this lamp is crafted by taking the glass vases and then reverse painting them on the inside. These are done in a rich, bright plum that has been further set off by the addition of outside gilt stenciling in a classical pattern to the body and base of the vases. They are then set on a brass base.

I believe the wiring to be updated. Please note there is no shade.

Measures 22' in height from the base to the socket and 29-1/2" to the top of the harp. 6-1/2" across the base.

The gilding has some slight rub thru which is to be expected and the interior painted surface also has minor lifting in a few small areas but nothing distracting and this further enhances the vintage looks and appeal.
