Antique Black Velvet Hand Painted Black & Gold Wade Ceramic Bowl with Matching Tongs Made in England

This is so pretty! Matte black with bright gold, this serving set is lovely and collectible. Made by Wade, England in the 1940’s, possibly early 1950’s. This bowl and serving tongs feature a textured pottery with matte black glaze and hand painted gold leaf detailing.

Condition: Both the bowl and the serving spoon are in good condition with no chips, cracks or flakes. Tiny open areas can be seen on the back of the spoon where it would have been held by design brackets to be glazed and possibly hand painted too. These white marks are just where the glaze did not cover these areas during original production. This is normal and not considered a flaw.
