Antique 3 Piece Pressed Glass Jar with Silver Overlay

This bottle is a total mystery to me. Why that little frosted top? Why the cork? Is that actually silver overtop?

All this in mind, it's one hell of a jar and it would make a beautiful addition to any space.

Measures 12-1/4" in height x 3-3/4" across (11" around). The frosted top measures 2-1/2" in length. The other piece measures 3" in height.

There is some silver pattern missing but nothing else to note.
